Featured in the next issue of Rampage will be a band called Korn, very well known for inventing their own type of heavy metal (nu-metal) and are very famous for this and inspire a lot of artists, they have helped shape the heavy metal world today and they are always trying to invent new music that has never been heard before and are very experimental and they are very big and respected artists in the heavy metal industry. The band has been around creating music since 1993 and was an instant hit for mixing rap with heavy metal, and ever since then they never fail to surprise.

The reason why I am going to feature them in my music magazine is because they have an up-coming album releasing soon and they have again invented a new genre of music (heavy metal dubstep), this would attract a lot of attention and people wanting to know more about the story. As well as this, it would boost sales, and it would be perfect to do a band interview or an album review article on.

I have also chosen to feature Korn because I love their music and I do find it inspirational to me, I love how they have a unique sound which I have never heard before, and I am very excited for the new album. Korn will fit the style of my magazine well, because I found out in my questionnaire that a lot of the people who took part enjoy electronic music (such as dubstep) as well, and as Korn’s new album features a mix of heavy metal and dubstep it will suit their needs very well and will ensure them a good read and suits the style of my magazine well, and ensures my target audience are getting what they want.

Using Korn will also interest a wide variety of people as well because their music suits everyone who likes heavy metal, so it will encourage a lot of people to check it out, even the older generation, or people who prefer old school classic heavy metal.
